Description Embark on a rewarding journey as a Finance Assistant with a growing construction company in San Marcos! Key Responsibilities: + Provide administrative accounting support by managing vendor invoices, coding expenses, and maintaining documentation for accounts payable and receivable workflows. + Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements, ensuring accurate categorization of transactions in Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate software or equivalent. + Assist payroll teams by verifying time cards, handling employee expense reimbursements, and submitting payroll data using Paychex Flex. + Track procurement processes, ensuring purchase orders are accurately entered and aligned with budget allocations. + Organize financial records, preparing and maintaining an up-to-date filing system for invoices, tax documents, and payroll reports. + Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain positive relationships regarding payments and scheduling. + Support the finance and accounting team during audits or other compliance checks by gathering requested data efficiently. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred (Associate's degree with relevant experience will be considered). + 1-3 years of financial experience, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry. + Proficiency in Sage software or other accounting platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel). + Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple tasks at once. + Effective communication skills for collaborating with vendors, employees, and supervisors.
