Apply now if you have what it takes to teach in the UAE. My client is part of a group of schools that has recently expanded to provide high-quality education to local Emirati students. This campus is fairly new and purpose built and the housing is walking distance from the school. This is a new compound in the heart of Sharjah about 30 minutes from Dubai.

To apply you need the following:
**A Bachelors degree in Science
**A Masters in Science is preferred but not essential
**A valid state teaching license in Science
**Ideally 2 years teaching experience
**Western-trained
**Have a high command of written and Spoken English
**Be an outstanding educator with up to date and modern pedagogy
**Be able to use an interactive whiteboard in the classroom
**Be adaptable to adjust yourself to the working culture in the UAE

The school campuses opened about 3 years ago and have since to increase in student population. Most of the teachers are from western trained countries, although there will also be teachers from local countries such as Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt etc

Most of the students are Emirati with about 10% being expats. The school is ideal if you want to further progress your career, gain experience with the IB curriculum and if you are looking to save money as the cost of living in Sharjah is lower.

Sharjah is considered a more dry Emirate, with many living in this part of the UAE but commuting to Dubai for entertainment.  There are some lovely sites to see and enjoy has more of a family feel to it
The working hours of the school are from 7-3pm and on Tuesday the school delivers CPD which you are expected to attend

Salary Package

1. Salary range, dependent upon years of experience and qualification: AED 12,100 to 15,675 per month

Science Teacher Requirements to Apply:

1. Bachelor's Degree in a Science related subject
2. A valid state teaching license in Science
3. At least 2 years teaching experience
4. Being able to speak Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory
5. Western-trained
6. Have an excellent command of written and spoken English
7. Candidates with experience and knowledge of the IB MYP and IBDP Science preferred
8. Experience of teaching ICT in the Middle East is preferred
9. Elementary Education (K – 5) teachers must have an Elementary Education license/certification
10. Minimum of two years teaching experience, if a holder of a Bachelor of Education Degree from a recognized accredited or nationally licensed University or College; or four years of teaching experience, if a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in a secondary education content area from a recognized accredited or nationally licensed University or College
11. Meet highly qualified definitions for teaching in their content areas as identified by coursework listed on their undergraduate college and postgraduate transcripts and defined by No Child Left Behind Act (USA)
12. Two confidential letters of recommendation from immediate past and current employers that are hand signed on official letterhead from the school and/or two confidentially completed
13. Knowledgeable of effective teaching methodologies, assessment strategies, standards-based instruction, and strong content knowledge
14. Possess excellent interpersonal communication, collaboration, problem-solving, decision making and relationship building skills
15. Understand and can use Standards Based teaching and assessment practices in the classroom
16. Is student-centered in their delivery of instruction in the classroom
17. Understands the use of assessment data to design instruction that is differentiated based upon the individual and group instructional needs of students
18. Uses technology to advance learning, manage information and deliver instruction effectively to students
19. Is culturally competent and aware of the Cultural norms of the UAE

About Sharjah
Sharjah is located next to Dubai and border close to Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. You can get to the center of Dubai in about 35 minutes from Sharjah. Sharjah is considered a dry Emirate where there is little consumption of Alcohol. It is the 3rd largest city in the UAE with a population of over 800,000 people.   The culture revolves around the religion of Islam and the traditional Arab culture. Qualification:

**Experience of USA Curriculum such as American Harcourt, AP and Common Core is highly valued
**It will be beneficial to your application if you have experience of working in the Middle East or with non-native speakers of English

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:

A salary from 12375 up to 15,675  AED (UAE Dirham)per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE

500AED per month
